01. About

I design and build robust, scalable backend services and APIs, mostly in Go and Node.js. Over 11+ years I've worked closely with the CEO and CTO at three early-stage startups, building products from scratch and getting involved in every part of product development.

Lately I build agentic AI systems: LLM agents that use MCP servers to help people debug and configure their infrastructure.

  1. Aug 2024 – Present

    Senior Software Engineer 3 · Kong

    • Events Platform team, building platform services behind Kong Konnect SaaS.
    • Built NotificationHub from 0 to 1, powering centralized email and in-app notifications in Konnect.
    • Built KAi, the Kong AI Assistant, from 0 to 1 using LangChain-Go, AWS Bedrock and MCP servers. Rewrote it as a v2 multi-agent system with LangGraph, FastAPI, MCP and CodeMode to help users debug and configure Konnect and gateway issues.
    • Improved Ksearch API performance.
  2. Feb 2024 – Aug 2024

    Lead Software Engineer · Gojek

    • Data Engineering team, maintaining the firehose and dagger stream-processing services on Apache Flink.
    • Ran 3000+ deployments processing 100M+ messages per minute.

    Software Engineer · Last9

    • SRE reliability platform. Feature development on Compass 2.0.
    • Set up API documentation process, enforced Go linting and coding standards, and introduced better API error and response handling.
  4. Dec 2018 – Nov 2021

    Founding Engineer, Backend Lead · Squadcast

    • Incident response platform (acquired by SolarWinds). Architected the system with the CTO.
    • Migrated from a monolith to microservices and moved infra to Kubernetes. Rewrote services in Go and redesigned the product API-first.
    • Scaled to 1M incidents and 3M notifications and events. Led a backend team of 5.
  5. May 2017 – Dec 2018

    Senior Software Engineer · AirCTO

    • AI-assisted hiring platform (acquired by Gojek). Worked with the CEO on architecture and new features.
    • Built over 80% of the backend microservices.
